Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using WordCrafter.Pro you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These Terms form a contract between you and DragonWorks Publishing ("we," "us," "our"). Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of service

WordCrafter.Pro is a web-based writing application that provides a document editor, a binder for organising your manuscript, and a suite of AI-assisted writing tools powered by the Professional Writing System (PWS) pipeline. The AI features require you to supply your own API keys from OpenRouter and/or Google Gemini.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@wordcrafter.pro if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not create accounts for others without their permission, impersonate other people, or create accounts after we have suspended or terminated a prior account of yours.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Subscription fee. Access to WordCrafter.Pro requires a paid subscription at the price displayed at the time of purchase (currently $22 USD per month or $200 USD per year). Prices may change with 30 days' notice.

Free trial. New accounts include a 14-day free trial. No payment method is required to start your trial. If your trial ends without a payment method on file your account is paused — your data is preserved and you can resubscribe at any time.

Billing cycle. Monthly subscriptions renew on the same day each month. Annual subscriptions renew on the same date each year. Renewals are automatic unless you cancel.

Payment. Payments are processed by Freemius, our Merchant of Record. Freemius handles all billing, receipts, and applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) on our behalf. By subscribing you agree to Freemius's terms of service. We do not store your full payment card details.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Manage Subscription option in the account menu. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until that date. We do not provide partial-period refunds.

Refunds. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days at support@wordcrafter.pro and we will review your request.

API costs. The AI features use third-party APIs (OpenRouter, Google Gemini) that are billed directly to the keys you provide. These costs are entirely separate from your WordCrafter.Pro subscription fee and are your responsibility.

5. Your content

You own it. Any writing, notes, or other content you create in WordCrafter.Pro ("Your Content") belongs to you. We claim no intellectual property rights over Your Content.

Licence to us. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to provide the service — for example, saving your documents to the database or sending a document to the AI on your behalf when you click "Send." We do not use Your Content for any other purpose.

Your responsibility. You are responsible for Your Content. You represent that you have the right to store and process it through WordCrafter.Pro and that it does not violate any law or third-party right.

AI-generated content. Content generated by AI tools in response to your prompts is provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing and editing it before use. We make no representations about the originality, accuracy, or fitness of AI-generated content.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use WordCrafter.Pro to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
• Generate or store content that is illegal, defamatory, or exploits minors
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of WordCrafter.Pro
• Use automated scripts to scrape, spam, or overload the service
• Resell or sublicense access to WordCrafter.Pro
• Use the AI features to generate malware, phishing content, or other harmful material

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for violations of these rules.

7. API keys and third-party services

To use the AI features you must provide API keys from OpenRouter, Google Gemini, and/or OpenAI. By providing these keys you confirm you have agreed to those providers' terms of service and that your use complies with their policies.

We store your keys encrypted at rest and transmit them only to the respective providers over HTTPS. We are not responsible for any charges incurred on your third-party API accounts.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep WordCrafter.Pro available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily takes the service offline, with reasonable advance notice where possible.

Support is provided on a best-effort basis via support@wordcrafter.pro. We aim to respond within 2 business days but do not guarantee response times.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

WordCrafter.Pro is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the AI output will be accurate or suitable for any purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DragonWorks Publishing will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of WordCrafter.Pro, including loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of WordCrafter.Pro will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DragonWorks Publishing and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of WordCrafter.Pro, or your violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

By you. You may close your account at any time. Doing so cancels your subscription at the end of the current billing period. Use the backup export before closing to preserve your work.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or any reason with 30 days' notice (or immediately for serious violations).

Effect of termination. On termination, your right to use WordCrafter.Pro ends. We will delete your personal data within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of WordCrafter.Pro after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
